The flywheel slicer model 8/21 is built in the factories of the Maatschappij Van Berkel's Patent NV of Rotterdam Holland in the period from 1932 to 1950. In reality this is the second version of the Berkel slicer model 8H called "Berkel model 21 first series "only for the Italian market, marketed by the company Bach, distributor in Milan, while for the rest of the world known as Berkel model 8h. It mounts a sharpener with automatic pressure detachable grinders, and uses a sliding plate that can be moved automatically and by hand, where an articulated arm with maximum opening to secure and stable gripping of the meat to be sliced ​​is mounted. The sliding carriage is mounted on the left side on automatic lubrication guides, guarded by an oval-shaped stainless steel guard to guarantee maximum hygiene and cleanliness, while on the right side it runs through a padded jacket covered with a Teflon shirt to ensure greater smoothness and noiselessness during operation and has a travel of 315 mm. The flywheel slicer Berkel model 8/21 is fitted with a helical-type gear unit with a protective box, a snap-off guard and an endless screw cover. The slice thickness adjustment is at 15 different positions and a 370 mm blade is used. The Berkel model 21 slicer is operated by means of a closed flywheel with an outer diameter of 360 mm. and the "Van Berkel's Patent" decal is applied inside. All the metal parts were originally chrome-plated, in addition to the use of special stainless steels especially in the parts in direct contact with the meat and the salt contained in them, preserving over time and using the machine in its freshness features. The Berkel model 21 flywheel slicer was originally made and is restored in black and ivory red. The Berkel model 8/21 slicer requires a 250 mm support. front - 250 mm. rear - 460 mm. length It has a total encumbrance of 645 mm. in height - 750 mm. in length - 720 mm. in width. A net weight of 101 kg.The slicer was supplied without any supporting support, but optionally at the request of the buyer his original pedestal was supplied, where the slicer could be correctly positioned in every point of the room without creating impediments on the work and be cleaned more easily and be enhanced even more. This slicer, like all the flywheel slicers that have been restored and sold by The World's Best Slicers, is restored exclusively with the exclusive use of original antique decals respecting the color tone and supplied with its original pedestal, avoiding trivial copies.
