The U.S. flywheel slicer Berkel model Baby was built in the period from 1918 to 1928 in the factory of La Porte - Indiana and in Toronto - Canada,  and producing two different versions during the period. The model Baby slicer is known as Berkel model B or simply as Indianina as the smallest Berkel slicer produced in the U.S. Slicing Machine La Porte Indiana. Mount a blade in diameter of 263 mm. and has a regulation of the thickness of the slice at 12 to positions that is fixed on the right side of the machine body. The unique sharpener as a form is discovered with the opposing sharpening grinding wheels which is fixed in the upper part of the shoulder. The slicer originally assembles a 6-principle worm screw, logically for the various characteristics of the machine was dedicated to cutting not very aged products, small in size and with a thickness not comparable to the slicers produced in Holland. The mod. B is driven by a flywheel with a floral design with a diameter of 279 mm. with the U.S. embossed lettering U.S Slicing Machine La porte Indiana, was originally produced in red greens and black colors and the metal parts are nickel-plated. The U.S. flywheel slicer Berkel model B has a total dimensions of 670 mm. length 460 mm. width and 470 mm. height and needs a 180 mm support. x 380 mm. The US Berkel model B slicer altogether weighs 44 Kg. The slicer thanks to its small size was very often placed directly on the worktop, but at the request by the user was provided optionally its original pedestal that completes sinuously the machine, as proportioned with the size of the same. The restoration is carried out in the laboratories of "The World's Best Slicers" respecting the principle of conservation of the parts. Providing for the disassembly and recovery without any replacement of the worn or broken pieces, carrying out a carryover of material by welding and subsequent milling or turning of the pieces in order to bring them back to their original dimensions and their functionality. For the missing parts, original spare parts acquired from the production plants or incomplete slicers are used. The painted parts, which were first stripped by cryo-stripping and carefully prepared, are painted using new generation paints that comply with health and pollution regulations and reformulated in the correct shade of color used in the past. The decorations are strictly performed through the application of copal paint decals, avoiding any type of mystification, such as airbrush decorations, stickers or any other type of fantasy decoration. Each restored slicer is delivered with an Official Certificate of Originality and Guarantee
